Here's the information I got on this healthy snack for us to try:
- By being the first of its kind to incorporate sprouted ingredients like flaxseed, chia seeds, quinoa, black beans, broccoli seeds and daikon radish seeds, Way Better Snacks truly has built a way better tortilla chip! Since sprouting unlocks all the "good" that is inherent in grains, seeds and beans and brings them back to life (nutritionally speaking) Way Better Snacks decided to add them to their chips to create a snack that's as wholesome as they are delicious.
- Sprouting delivers many benefits including: increased vitamins and minerals; increased antioxidants; increased digestibility; and increased nutrition absorption.
- In addition to the sprouted ingredients, the tortilla chips are also Certified Gluten Free, Non-GMO, Certified 100% Whole Grain, Kosher and Low Sodium - and amazingly great tasting. They really are all that and a bag of chips.
- Currently offered in six varieties - Sweet Potato, Black Bean, Sweet Chili, Multi-Grain, Unbeatable Blues and No Salt Naked Blues - Way Better Snacks are available at numerous retailers nationwide, including Whole Foods.
Sounds all fine and dandy buttttttttt how do they TASTE?!? I'm not the pickiest eater - hello, I eat cold oatmeal! So I'd love to get the opinon of others on how this snack tastes. My Mom is on a strict gluten-free diet so I am giving her a bag to test - and if anyone else out there also has a gluten allergy, I'd love to send you a bag to try and give feedback! For that matter anyone that is just looking at a new healthy snack to replace that bag of Lay's you're snacking on - oh yeah I see you over there - leave a comment on which one you want and I'll mail you a bag! So leave a comment if you're interested, if not every family member gets one :)
Let me know if you've tried Simply Sprouted Way Better Snacks before - would love your feedback!
PS: The Simply So Sweet Chili Tortilla Chips bag is already taken - we just opened that and they are GOOD. Would go great with some fresh salsa...and a Corona. Ok FINNNNE a Corona isn't healthy. So just salsa. And Tequila. On a Beach.
